Latest Pinterest Project Attempt ~ Marbled Nails

I'm a bit of a Pinterest addict.

A picture of marbled nail polish really intrigued me. I decided to try it out. The results are less than impressive.

Have you ever attempted the marble polish? Did it go better for you? What's the last thing you tried from Pinterest?

You can check out my other Pinterest boards as well.

  1. First of all I love that your hubby helped you! :D Especially when he put the dot of gold on your nail trying to get another color on there! LOL! And you are so great for trying to do your toes; I'm not sure I could attempt that! ;)

Secondly, I haven't done this but I did notice a few things from another video tutorial. It says (I think) to use luke warm water. So maybe that helps and also I think you are right that the surface area in your bowl was to much. She uses a cup and makes a whole bulls eye in the water. I'm not sure you layered the drips enough to build up enough to streak, but I did notice that your polish WAS NOT cooperating! LOL! It just wouldn't drip!

Here's the link to the tutorial I found if you want to check it out? : http://www.creatingreallyawesomefreethings.com/c-r-a-f-t-82-tie-dye-nails/

  2. Thanks, Amada! I intend to try it again, though I will probably just do my big toe and paint the other ones normally. I found pouring lots of polish end provided a much better result, so I think you are right about not enough drips. Either way it was fun! Hopefully next time it will turn out better. :)

  3. It looks like fun! I think maybe after this I'll have to try it sometime also! :) I'm like you though I don't really like my finger nails painted so maybe I'll convince my mom to let me use her fingers as my pallet! :) LOL! Not sure she'll let me try her toes :D

  7. Hello,

I still haven't taken the time to attempt this but I found another way of doing it on pinterest. You may have already seen it but....I though maybe it would be easier to do your toes like this. :)
